A few things I talk about in this video:
Why I’m moving Authentically Yours from every two weeks to once a month
How making art has become one of the most restorative parts of my life. It’s been magical!
The different ways creative projects can recharge us, from problem-solving to repetitive, meditative work
Why slowing down and making something with my hands feels so different from consuming more information
The importance of shaping our hobbies and commitments around our actual lives, rather than turning them into another obligation
The Dare
Take a look at how you spend your time and ask yourself:
What genuinely recharges me, and how often am I actually doing it?
For the next week or two, try tracking the time you spend on the things that restore you. Put them in your calendar, use a colour to mark them, or simply make a note.
Then look back and see whether those things have a real place in your life, or whether they’re always the first to get pushed aside.
I know I’ve suggested this before, but doing it again now and then has really helped me prioritize things in my life.
